This US Army brigade-level unit used to be split up all over Western Europe to do customs clearance and investigations for US Army units. With the drawdown of US Forces in Europe the 42nd MP Group was deactivated |

US Army 42d MP Group (Customs). 42d was in effect from 1968 through 1994 at which time it was closed down and colors were encased. In October 2004, it was reconstituted as 42d MP Brigade, Fort Lewis, Washington, USA as our direct descendant.

We have now held 3 reunions with the Commander, 508th MP Battalion, 42d MP Brigade attending our last one in Branson, Missouri as our guest speaker. Our next reunion is to be held June 8-12, 2011 at Fort Lewis by special invitation of Command Group, 42d MP Brigade. |
