Customs Rocker Patch

Part of the new uniform, the shield shape patch has been removed in favour of this new patch. The Australian Customs crest is now embroidered into the left breast pocket on all shirts and pullovers.

This patch has been the standard patch worn by Officers of the Australian Customs Service used to be worn on the old uniform. Currently, this patch is only being produced for use on overalls.

acs 05 Brown Shoulder Patch
This patch was only worn for a brief period of time by ACS staff. Due to increased production costs it was decided to abandon this patch for the standard blue patch.
acs 06 White Shoulder Patch
This patch was worn by Officers who attended the International Law Enforcement Olympics held in Washington, D.C. in 1992, as part of the ACS official "Tracksuit". This is not a standard issue patch of the ACS. It was made exclusively for the ILEO games.
acs100 I designed this patch back in 2001 and received approval to have the item produced as a giveaway to other Customs Administrations and collectors of Customs memorabilia.

coast 01 Coastwatch Unit - Specialist Unit Patch
This is the patch worn by flight crews and observers on our Coastwatch surveillance aircraft, based primarily in the North of Australia. These flights help detect illegal fishing, illegal immigrants or "boat people" and monitor vessel movements in the "Top End".
coast 02 Coastwatch Unit (Name Patch) - Specialist Unit Patch
This patch is one of the first pre-production patches used to design the Coastwatch patch. The amount of these patches produced is unknown, but very few were made.
coast 03 Coastwatch Unit - Specialist Unit patch
This is the latest patch to be released by the Australian Customs Service and is being phased in to uniform usage as new crews are put onto the latest Customs launches, the "Bay" class vessels

This patch is worn by the crews of the Marine Unit fleet, who work in conjunction with Coastwatch, the Royal Australian Navy, Australian Federal Police, the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife , Immigration and the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.

There are two variations of this patch, the newer version having a lighter blue background, which conforms with the new Customs uniform.
sierra 02 Sierra Operations - Social club patch
Finished patch - designed only as a social club item, however, the patch is now full - size and correct colours in accordance with the current issue patches.

ddu 01 Drug Dog Unit (Version 1) - Specialist Unit Patch
Original issue patch of the Drug Dog Unit. Extremely rare to find one of these patches - they were silk screen printed, not embroidered as currently occurs.
ddu 02 Drug Dog Unit (Version 2) - Specialist Unit Patch
Second issue patch of the Drug Dog Unit. Copied from the original issue patches , was the first embroidered patch.
ddu 03 Drug Dog Unit (Version 3) - Specialist Unit Patch
This is the old style patch worn by officer prior to the introduction of standard red borders to the shoulder flashes of all specialist units. No longer issued and it is quite rare to come across one in good condition.
ddu 04 Drug Dog Unit (Version 4) - Specialist Unit Patch
This patch was worn by Drug Dog Unit dog handlers. They work at all facilities handling the movement of cargo/persons arriving from international destinations.

Worn on the individual dog harnesses.
ddu 05 Drug Dog Unit (Version 5) - Specialist Unit Patch
This is the new patch for the Australian Customs Drug Dog Unit and was introduced into service in Sydney in August 1998.
The decision was undertaken to change the patch to better reflect the current crop of Drug Dogs and our breeding programme, namely the increased use of Labradors.
torres 1 Torres Strait - Specialist Unit Patch
This patch has been specifically issued to the new Australian Customs Service aides, located in the Torres Strait area. Only Torres Strait Islanders, employed by Customs, are authorized to wear this patch.
