The cutter is the typical example of the French Cost Guards cutter. Between 20/25m each, they can be armed with a 50cal. machine gun or French made AA 52 (7,62mm, cal.30 light machine gun). This one is the "DF 45" from La Rochelle, photo that I took while on sea. - Bruno LAURENS collection.
This one (only 4 in France), a Cessna, is especially use in Pol-mar ("Pollution Maritime") task (the yellow random under its nose is made to detect fuel when a boat is "washing" its tanks on sea and to track it. Photo taken in 2000 on La Rochelle's airport. - Bruno LAURENS collection.
The chopper is an Aerospatiale Ecureuil, mono turbine. Based in 4 parts of France, they use to work with ground units and mainly with naval component. Here, it's training with the "maitre de chien anti stupéfiants" (dogs for narcotics) from Valenciennes (north of France). - Bruno LAURENS collection.
