Customs Rocker Patch

Part of the new uniform, the shield shape patch has been removed in favour of this new patch. The Australian Customs crest is now embroidered into the left breast pocket on all shirts and pullovers.

Australian Customs Shoulder Insignia Brown Shoulder Patch
This patch was only worn for a brief period of time by ACS staff. Due to increased production costs it was decided to abandon this patch for the standard blue patch.
Australian Customs Shoulder Insignia White Shoulder Patch
This patch was worn by Officers who attended the International Law Enforcement Olympics held in Washington, D.C. in 1992, as part of the ACS official "Tracksuit". This is not a standard issue patch of the ACS. It was made exclusively for the ILEO games.
Australian Customs Centenary Insignia I designed this patch back in 2001 and received approval to have the item produced as a giveaway to other Customs Administrations and collectors of Customs memorabilia.

Australian Customs Coastwatch Coastwatch Unit - Specialist Unit Patch
This is the patch worn by flight crews and observers on our Coastwatch surveillance aircraft, based primarily in the North of Australia. These flights help detect illegal fishing, illegal immigrants or "boat people" and monitor vessel movements in the "Top End".

This patch is one of the first pre-production patches used to design the Coastwatch patch. The amount of these patches produced is unknown, but very few were made.

This patch is worn by the crews of the Marine Unit fleet, who work in conjunction with Coastwatch, the Royal Australian Navy, Australian Federal Police, the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife , Immigration and the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.

Original issue patch of the Drug Dog Unit. Extremely rare to find one of these patches - they were silk screen printed, not embroidered as currently occurs.

This is the old style patch worn by officer prior to the introduction of standard red borders to the shoulder flashes of all specialist units. No longer issued and it is quite rare to come across one in good condition.

Drug Dog Unit (Version 5) - Specialist Unit Patch
This is the new patch for the Australian Customs Drug Dog Unit and was introduced into service in Sydney in August 1998.
The decision was undertaken to change the patch to better reflect the current crop of Drug Dogs and our breeding programme, namely the increased use of Labradors.
